Delightful blondies infused with sweet cinnamon and a hint of spice, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  5. Gradually combine the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing until just incorporated.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
