Ingredients

  • French or Italian bread
  • Thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • Shredded cheese (cheddar, provolone, or mozzarella)
  • Garlic (minced)
  • Butter (softened)
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix softened butter with minced garlic, salt, and pepper; spread on each slice of bread.
  3. Sear thinly sliced steak on medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Assemble by placing garlic buttered bread on a baking tray, topping with steak and cheese.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and cheese is melted.
