Fluffy pancakes inspired by the delightful flavors of Spanish churros, dusted with cinnamon-sugar and topped with chocolate sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ¼ cup sugar (for cinnamon-sugar mixture)
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon (for cinnamon-sugar mixture)
  • Chocolate sauce (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt until combined.
  2. In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter until smooth.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
  4. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and grease lightly.
  5. Pour about ¼ cup of batter onto the skillet and cook until bubbles form (2-3 minutes).
  6. Flip and cook until golden brown (1-2 minutes).
  7. Dust with the cinnamon-sugar mixture while warm.
  8. Drizzle with chocolate sauce and serve warm.

Notes

Can be topped with whipped cream, berries, or chopped nuts for added flavor and texture.
