Ingredients
Scale
1 lb flank steak, sliced thin
1 large onion, sliced
2 bell peppers (any color), sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
Slice the flank steak into thin strips and combine with cornstarch, soy sauce, and oyster sauce in a mixing bowl. Marinate for 15 minutes.
While the beef marinates, slice the onion and bell peppers.
Heat oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat; add marinated beef and sear for 3-4 minutes until browned on one side, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Add the sliced onions and bell peppers to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until vegetables soften but still retain crunch.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot over jasmine rice or egg noodles, drizzled with remaining juices.
Notes
Try adding chili flakes for extra heat. This dish pairs well with jasmine rice, egg noodles, or steamed broccoli.
