Delightful cookies merging creamy cheesecake flavors with soft, chewy cookie goodness, highlighted by rivers of melted salted caramel.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Gradually mix in the granulated and brown sugars until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and sea salt, then slowly incorporate into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Gently swirl in about ¾ of the salted caramel sauce, leaving some for drizzling.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them at least two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the edges are golden and the centers appear set.

Notes

For a kid-friendly version, omit the sea salt and reduce the caramel sauce. You can also fill each cookie with caramel and add colorful sprinkles.
