Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides. Pat the seasoning in so it adheres evenly.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter, letting it melt gently.
  6. Add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning, sautéing until fragrant.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the garlic butter sauce over the top.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

For even cooking, use similarly sized chicken breasts or pound thicker pieces. Store cooked chicken in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.
