Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually mix this into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden but the centers are still slightly underbaked. Let them cool before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Reheat for a warm, gooey texture.
