  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the maple syrup and egg until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the wet ingredients.
  5. Scoop dough in tablespoon-sized portions onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each scoop.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  7. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
