Instructions

  1. Gather Ingredients: Prepare fresh lemon juice, unflavored gelatin, and water.
  2. Heat Water: In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of water until hot but not boiling (about 180°F or 82°C).
  3. Dissolve Gelatin: Add 1 tablespoon of gelatin to the hot water and stir until completely dissolved (about 1-2 minutes).
  4. Add Lemon Juice: Remove the saucepan from heat and mix in 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice.
  5. Cool Down: Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for about 30 minutes until thickened.
  6. Serve: Pour into glasses and serve chilled.
  7. Storage: Refrigerate leftover tonic for up to five days in an airtight container.
