Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×9 inch baking dish by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the melted butter, eggs, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract until thoroughly blended.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Once baked, let it cool for about 10 minutes, then drizzle a mixture of powdered sugar and lemon juice over the top.
  7. Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing them into squares.
