A delightful twist on traditional lasagna that simplifies preparation while delivering delicious flavors and comforting textures.

Ingredients

  • Lasagna Noodles (no-boil varieties preferred)
  • Ground Beef (or Italian Sausage, can substitute turkey or plant-based options)
  • Marinara Sauce
  • Ricotta Cheese (or cottage cheese)
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Herbs and Seasonings (oregano, basil, garlic powder, salt)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat for 5–7 minutes, drain excess fat, and stir in marinara sauce until warmed through.
  3. If using traditional noodles, boil them until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, and seasonings until well-blended.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and repeat until all ingredients are used, finishing with meat sauce topped with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes; then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
  7. Allow to sit for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Lasagna can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes, or use a microwave in intervals until heated through.
