  • 1 package Jello (choose your favorite fruit flavor)
  • 2 cups Water (or fruit juice)
  • 1 tub Whipped Topping (light or low-calorie)
  • Fresh Fruit (optional, such as strawberries, blueberries, or bananas)

Instructions

  1. Bake the cake according to the instructions on the box. Let it cool completely in the pan, about 30 minutes.
  2. Dissolve the jello in 1 cup of boiling water, stirring until fully dissolved. Stir in 1 cup of cold water and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  3. Poke holes all over the top of the cooled cake with a fork or toothpick.
  4. Pour the prepared jello over the poked cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until the jello sets.
  6. Spread the whipped topping over the set jello and cake, and decorate with fresh fruits if desired.
  7. Cut into squares and serve chilled.
