Indulge in the delightful experience of making Italian Chocolate Salami, a no-bake dessert that beautifully combines the crunch of nuts with the richness of dark chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 Biscoff cookies or Vanilla Wafers
  • ¾ cup toasted nuts (walnuts, pistachios, or hazelnuts)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Frangelico, Amaretto, Kahlua, or other liqueur (optional)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cookies and nuts: Break the Biscoff cookies or vanilla wafers into roughly ½-inch pieces and mix them with the toasted nuts in a large bowl.
  2. Melt the chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and heavy cream. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Mix together: Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cookie and nut mixture. Stir gently until everything is well combined and the cookies and nuts are evenly coated with chocolate.
  4. Shape the mixture: Transfer the mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap. Shape it into a log, wrap it tightly, and twist the ends to secure.
  5. Chill: Chill the wrapped log in the refrigerator for at least 120 minutes, or until it is firm to the touch.
  6. Coat with powdered sugar: Once firm, remove the log from the plastic wrap and roll it in powdered sugar. Gently brush off any excess sugar.
  7. Slice and store: Cut the chocolate salami into slices. Store the slices in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.

Notes
