Ingredients

  • 1 batch Pizza Dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, or a blend)
  • ½ cup Pizza Sauce
  • 1 cup Toppings of your choice (pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, etc.)
  • 1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the dough onto a floured surface until about ¼ inch thick and cut into squares (about 4 inches per side).
  3. On each square, place about 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce, followed by ¼ cup of shredded cheese and your favorite toppings.
  4. Fold each square over to form a triangle and press the edges firmly with a fork to seal.
  5. Brush the tops lightly with the egg wash (optional).
  6. Place the pizza pockets on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  7. Allow the pockets to cool slightly before serving with a side of pizza sauce for dipping.
