A scrumptious and easy dessert combining creamy chocolate, wholesome oats, and nut butter, perfect for busy evenings or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • ½ cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or sunflower)
  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the nut butter and honey (or maple syrup) until smooth.
  3. Pour the nut butter mixture into the dry oat mix. Fold until well combined.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper. Spoon the mixture into the dish and press it down firmly.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  7. Remove from the dish using parchment paper and slice into squares or rectangles.

Notes

These bars can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for about a week.
