  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and nutmeg.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Use a spoon or cookie scoop to drop the batter onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until light golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
