Giant Chocolate Chip Cookies

Soft and chewy giant chocolate chip cookies with gooey bursts of chocolate in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking soda. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the semisweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Drop large balls of dough (about 1/4 cup each) onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, spacing them a few inches apart.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Make sure your butter is at room temperature for the best creaming results. Use a cookie scoop for uniform cookie sizes.
