A warm and comforting pasta dish combining tender chicken, creamy sauce, and gooey mozzarella over bowtie pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts, seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta, cooked al dente
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a splash of the pasta cooking water if desired.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and slice when slightly rested.
  4. Add the heavy cream to the skillet and bring it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the shredded mozzarella cheese until it melts into a smooth sauce.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta and sliced chicken into the skillet until everything is well combined and coated in the cheese sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add the reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Slice the chicken against the grain for the most tender bite. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove over low heat, adding a splash of milk or reserved pasta water to restore creaminess.
