A comforting, indulgent weeknight dinner featuring tender diced chicken in a silky mozzarella cream sauce served over bowtie pasta.

Ingredients

  • Bowtie pasta
  • Chicken breast, diced
  • Garlic, minced
  • Butter
  • Heavy cream
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • Italian seasoning
  • Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1/4 cup of the pasta cooking water.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 to 60 seconds.
  3. Add the diced chicken breast to the skillet and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the mozzarella cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook together for about a minute.
  6. Serve warm, topped with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.

Notes

Cut chicken into even pieces for even cooking. Avoid high heat to prevent cheese from clumping.
