A warm and comforting dish featuring seared chicken and bowtie pasta in a rich garlic butter sauce, topped with Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Boneless, skinless chicken breasts, trimmed and patted dry
  • 3 tablespoons Butter, unsalted preferred
  • 4 cloves Fresh minced garlic, finely chopped
  • 8 ounces Bowtie pasta, dry
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pasta by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil, add the bowtie pasta, and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the chicken by patting the chicken breasts dry and slice them in half horizontally or pound to even thickness for even cooking.
  3. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the chicken in the skillet until golden and cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate tented with foil.
  5. Add the fresh minced garlic to the butter in the pan and cook for 30 to 60 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Combine the chicken with the drained pasta, tossing gently with garlic butter. Add reserved pasta water if mixture seems dry.
  7. Finish by removing from heat and grating Parmesan cheese over the top.
  8. Serve warm, plating immediately so the butter sauce stays silky.

Notes

Dry the chicken well before cooking for a golden crust. Use reserved pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency as needed.
