A simple, comforting weeknight meal with juicy chicken breasts and a silky, aromatic garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the chicken and cook for 5 to 7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.
  3. Remove the cooked chicken from the skillet and set aside to keep warm.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium in the same skillet and add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the garlic butter sauce over the top. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Transfer the chicken to serving plates, spoon the remaining sauce over the top, and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

Consider serving with crusty bread or steamed vegetables.
