Replicate the creamy, tangy goodness of KFC’s coleslaw with this classic recipe featuring fresh vegetables and a luscious dressing.

Ingredients

  • 120 ml mayonnaise
  • 65 g granulated sugar
  • 60 ml whole milk
  • 60 ml buttermilk
  • 38 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 22 ml distilled white vinegar
  • 3 g fine sea salt
  • 0.5 g ground black pepper
  • 800 g finely chopped green cabbage
  • 30 g shredded carrot
  • 20 g minced white onion

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the cabbage and carrots to a uniform, rice-sized consistency.
  2. Mince the white onion finely for even distribution of flavor.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, milk, buttermilk, lemon juice, vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Add the chopped cabbage, shredded carrot, and minced onion to the bowl, mixing thoroughly.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for a minimum of 120 minutes.
