Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 cups cooked spaghetti
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your stovetop over medium heat or your oven if baking the meatballs.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, and salt and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball, yielding about 12-15 meatballs.
  4. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until browned.
  5. Pour in the tomato sauce, stir gently to coat, and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
  6. In a separate pot, boil water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions.
  7. Drain the spaghetti and mix it gently with the sauce and meatballs in the skillet. Serve hot, garnished with Parmesan if desired.
