A comforting and quick creamy garlic butter chicken pasta dinner that’s perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 to 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Bowtie pasta (Farfalle) for 4 to 6 servings
  • 1 whole head of fresh garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Prep the chicken and aromatics: Pat the chicken dry, season with salt and pepper, and mince the garlic.
  2. Cook the pasta: Boil salted water, add pasta, cook until al dente, and reserve 1 cup of water before draining.
  3. Sear the chicken: Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet, add chicken, and cook until golden brown.
  4. Make the garlic butter base: Melt remaining butter in the skillet, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Build the sauce: Add chicken broth, bring to a simmer, and stir in heavy cream until slightly thickened.
  6. Finish the sauce: Remove from heat, stir in Parmesan, add chicken and pasta, and mix to coat.
  7. Serve: Divide into bowls and garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan, then serve hot.

Notes

Use room temperature chicken for more even cooking and taste the sauce before serving to adjust salt level.
