Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix until incorporated.
  4. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and salt, mixing on low speed until the dough comes together.
  5. Roll about 1 tablespoon of dough into balls and place them on a lined baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are soft.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
