  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking sheet lightly.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract into the mixture. Blend until smooth.
  4. Carefully stir in the boiling water until completely mixed.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking sheet, spreading it evenly, and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before frosting.
