A delightful blend of croissants and muffins, these cruffins are flaky and sweet, filled with warm cinnamon and sugar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Melt the unsalted butter and let it cool slightly, then add the milk and stir to combine.
  4. Slowly pour the butter and milk mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until the dough comes together.
  5. On a floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle, about 1/2 inch thick.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together. Spread melted butter over the rolled-out dough and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  7. Starting from one long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut the log into 6 equal pieces and place them into greased muffin tins, cut side up.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Allow them to cool slightly before serving warm.
