A comforting pasta dish featuring tender chicken pieces in a rich, creamy sauce with mozzarella, Parmesan, and bowtie pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tbsp butter, divided
  • 1 lb bowtie pasta
  • 4 cups heavy cream
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, plus more for topping
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until no longer pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tbsp butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  5. Add the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan, stirring until melted. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Add the cooked pasta and toss to coat. Serve hot with extra mozzarella on top.

Notes

Pat the chicken dry before cooking to promote browning. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For a richer sauce, use freshly grated Parmesan.
