A heartwarming dish combining tender steak, pillowy tortellini, and a creamy garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound tortellini (fresh or dried)
  • 1 pound flank or sirloin steak
  • 4 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of water and add a pinch of salt. Cook tortellini according to package instructions (3-5 minutes), then drain.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper, sear for 3-4 minutes per side, then let rest.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat and sauté crushed garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and scrape browned bits. Simmer gently and mix in Parmesan until melted.
  5. Slice the steak against the grain and add to the sauce along with cooked tortellini. Mix gently.
  6. Fold in spinach until slightly wilted. Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan and pepper.

Notes

Serve with a fresh salad or warm, crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
