A festive, layered dessert featuring vibrant gelatin and a creamy middle layer of cream cheese and marshmallows, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces lime Jell-O powder
  • 2 1/4 cups hot water
  • 8 ounces block cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 3 ounces lemon Jell-O powder
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • 6 ounces cherry Jell-O powder
  • 2 cups hot water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the first layer by dissolving lime Jell-O powder in hot water and refrigerating until set.
  2. Beat the cream cheese until fluffy.
  3. Melt the marshmallows with pineapple juice over medium heat.
  4. Dissolve lemon Jell-O in hot water and cool it.
  5. Combine cream cheese, cooled marshmallow mixture, and lemon Jell-O until smooth.
  6. Cool the mixture for 30-40 minutes to thicken.
  7. Add the second layer by pouring the mixture over the lime Jell-O layer and returning to the refrigerator until set.
  8. Prepare the third layer by dissolving cherry Jell-O in hot water.
  9. Pour the cooled cherry Jell-O over the middle layer and chill until fully set.
  10. Slice and serve the salad once set.

Notes

Use a sharp knife dipped in hot water for clean cuts. The salad can be prepared a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
