This Cheesy Pizza Ravioli Bake is a comforting dish combining tender cheese ravioli, zesty marinara sauce, savory Italian sausage, crispy bacon, and melted mozzarella cheese.

  • 450 grams Italian sausage
  • 700 milliliters marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 200 grams shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 65 grams chopped bacon
  • Pepperoni slices, as desired
  • 710 grams frozen cheese ravioli

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. Dice the yellow onion and chop the bacon into small pieces if it is not pre-chopped.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until translucent.
  4. Add the Italian sausage to the skillet. Use a spoon to break it up as it cooks, ensuring it is browned throughout. Drain any excess grease if necessary.
  5. Stir in the Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, and freshly ground black pepper. Pour in the marinara sauce, then add the chopped bacon and your desired amount of pepperoni slices. Mix everything until well combined.
  6. Gently stir the frozen cheese ravioli into the skillet mixture until they are evenly coated with the sauce.
  7. Transfer the entire mixture into a large baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
  8. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
  9. Once baked, remove the foil and place the dish under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes. Watch it closely until the topping is golden and crisp.
