A comforting, crowd-pleasing dinner featuring rich cheese, savory chicken, and silky bowtie pasta, all enveloped in a luxuriously creamy garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into chunks
  • 10 oz bowtie pasta
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded Velveeta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup reserved pasta water (optional)
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water, drain, and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken with Cajun seasoning, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of the butter over medium-high heat, then add the chicken and sear until golden brown, about 6 to 8 minutes. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  4. Add the remaining butter to the skillet, then add the minced garlic and cook briefly until fragrant, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream, bring to a gentle simmer, and stir in Velveeta, mozzarella, and Parmesan until melted and smooth.
  6. Toss in the cooked pasta and seared chicken, mix well to coat, and simmer together for a few minutes.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh chopped parsley and black pepper.

Notes

Use room temperature chicken for even cooking and grate Parmesan fresh for the best flavor. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days.
