  • 12 green tea bags
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil.
  2. Remove the water from heat and add 1-2 green tea bags. Let it steep for about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add the grated ginger to the pot.
  4. Squeeze half a lemon into the mixture.
  5. Add a pinch of cayenne pepper and stir well.
  6. If desired, stir in one teaspoon of honey.
  7. Allow the drink to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Drink a cup in the morning to kickstart your metabolism. Can be served warm or chilled.
