A comforting dish featuring savory hamburger patties baked with rich gravy, tender vegetables, and fluffy mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef (80/20 fat)
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups Mixed Vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 3 cups Mashed Potatoes, cooked
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • Seasonings: salt, pepper, and thyme
  • 1 can or homemade Gravy

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  3. Shape the mixture into approximately six uniform patties.
  4. In a frying pan over medium heat, brown the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer the browned patties followed by mixed vegetables and cooked mashed potatoes.
  6. Pour the beef broth and gravy mixture over the layered ingredients.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
