A cozy and comforting loaf infused with warm cinnamon and sweet apples, perfect for family gatherings or as a delightful treat throughout the week.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the diced apples carefully.
  7. Transfer the mixture into a greased loaf pan and sprinkle brown sugar over the top.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Notes

This loaf can be served warm with whipped cream or ice cream and pairs well with coffee or a chai latte. It can also be adapted for a slow cooker.
