A delicious fusion of pasta and tacos, Taco Pasta Shells are stuffed with seasoned meat and cheese, offering a family-friendly meal that’s quick to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sliced olives for topping

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta shells in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente, about 9-11 minutes. Drain and set aside to cool.
  2. Brown the ground beef or turkey in a skillet over medium heat for 6-8 minutes until no longer pink, then drain excess fat.
  3. Mix in the taco seasoning and a splash of water, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Stuff each cooked shell with the meat mixture, seam-side up in a greased baking dish.
  5. Top with shredded cheese, covering all shells.
  6. Bake covered with foil for 20 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes, then top with sour cream and your favorite toppings before serving.

Notes

Feel free to swap ground beef with ground chicken or black beans for a vegetarian option. Use gluten-free pasta if needed.
