A delightful and easy-to-make dessert that combines the classic flavors of a banana split with the simplicity of a dump cake.

Ingredients

  • 23 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Peel and slice the bananas at a diagonal, and place them in an even layer on the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Drizzle the chocolate syrup generously over the sliced bananas.
  4. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the bananas and chocolate.
  5. Melt the butter and pour it evenly over the cake mix.
  6. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, until the edges are bubbling and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let it rest for a few minutes, then serve warm with whipped cream or a cherry on top.
