Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Chop the chicken into bite-sized pieces and prepare all ingredients.
  2. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil until well combined.
  3. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat and add the chicken. Sear for 5-7 minutes until lightly browned.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated, and cook for another 10-15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. If a thicker sauce is desired, mix cornstarch with water and add to the pan; cook for 2-3 minutes until it thickens.
  6. Serve over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

Consider swapping chicken for tofu or shrimp for a different twist. Great for meal prep and can be made ahead of time.
