  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour your cake pan.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder, then gradually add to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.
