A unique and versatile sauce made with gelatin that enhances meals while supporting weight loss goals.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups broth or stock
  • 12 tablespoons gelatin powder
  • 1/4 cup cool water
  • Fruit juice or puree (if desired for sweet sauces)
  • Spices and herbs (for flavor)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat 2 cups of broth or fruit juice over medium until warm (about 5 minutes).
  2. In a small bowl, sprinkle 1-2 tablespoons of gelatin powder over 1/4 cup of cool water and allow it to bloom for about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir the bloomed gelatin into the warm liquid until fully dissolved (about 2 minutes).
  4. Add your choice of herbs, spices, or sweeteners to taste.
  5. Lower heat and let the sauce simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and cool slightly before serving.
  7. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
