Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mix into the wet mixture until no dry spots remain.
  5. Gently stir in the chopped pecans.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop tablespoon-sized portions onto the lined baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.
