Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz. noodles (any type)
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, broccoli)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the Noodles: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook for 5-6 minutes until browned.
  3. Add Vegetables: Toss in the mixed vegetables into the skillet with the beef and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  4. Create the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, ground ginger, and sesame oil. Pour over the beef and veggies.
  5. Combine with Noodles: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing everything together. Add reserved pasta water if too dry, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Taste and Adjust: Turn off the heat, taste, and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  7. Serve: Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or chopped scallions.

Notes

Feel free to swap beef with tofu or shredded chicken for variations. Adjust the sauce ingredients according to preference for sweetness or saltiness.
