Deliciously flaky croissants filled with a warm honey and pecan mixture, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large buttery croissants, split but still whole
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Position a rack in the center of the oven for even baking.
  2. Slice each croissant lengthwise, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  3. Toast the chopped pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat, without browning it.
  5. Stir in the honey, brown sugar, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in the toasted pecans.
  7. Spoon the warm honey pecan filling into each sliced croissant, dividing the mixture evenly.
  8. Place the filled croissants on a baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy warm.
