Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, these bite-sized churro delights are coated in cinnamon sugar and served with rich Nutella for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup Nutella
  • ½ cup sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon cinnamon (cinnamon sugar)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, granulated sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in flour until a smooth dough forms.
  2. Allow the dough to cool slightly, then add eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated.
  3. In a deep skillet, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Spoon dough into a piping bag and pipe tiny bites into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Transfer churro bites to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil and roll them in cinnamon sugar while warm.
  6. Serve with Nutella for dipping.

Notes

For the best results, churro bites should be enjoyed fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days.
