A comforting dish that combines traditional taco flavors in a flaky pie crust, perfect for busy weeknights or gatherings.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, salsa, or avocado

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and add taco seasoning, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  3. Prepare the pie crust in a greased pie dish.
  4. Spread refried beans over the bottom of the pie crust, add cooked beef, and top with shredded cheese.
  5. Fold the overhanging edges of the pie crust over the filling.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
