Ingredients
Scale
1 box chocolate cake mix
1 cup caramel sauce
1 cup chocolate chips
4 large eggs
1 cup water
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or a light layer of butter.
In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix and water, stirring until smooth.
Whisk in the eggs and melted butter until shiny and well combined.
Pour half of the chocolate batter into the prepared baking dish. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over it, followed by half of the chocolate chips. Repeat with the remaining batter, caramel, and chocolate chips.
Bake for approximately 40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Allow the cake to cool slightly for 10-15 minutes before serving warm.
Notes
For a kid-friendly version, reduce the caramel by half and add colorful sprinkles on top.
