Delicious and easy-to-make bars combining the rich flavors of chocolate with creamy peanut butter, perfect for snacks or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract until creamy.
  4. Slowly fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until well mixed.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Press the oat mixture firmly into a lined 9×9 inch baking dish.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

These bars freeze well and can be reheated for a warm treat. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
