A comforting and flavorful dish blending classic cheesesteak flavors with tender tortellini in a creamy provolone sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (about 9 oz) Tortellini, fresh or frozen
  • 1 pound Beef Sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium Onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers, sliced
  • 2 cups Provolone Cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Tortellini: Boil salted water and cook tortellini per package instructions. Drain and toss with olive oil.
  2. Sauté the Vegetables: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium, add onion and bell peppers, seasoning with salt and pepper. Sauté until soft.
  3. Add the Beef: Incorporate beef into the skillet and cook until browned.
  4. Create the Sauce: Lower heat, add heavy cream and shredded provolone, stirring until melted and thickened.
  5. Combine Everything: Stir in cooked tortellini until well-coated with the sauce and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Taste and Adjust: Check seasoning and adjust accordingly.
  7. Serve Warm: Transfer to serving dishes and garnish with extra provolone if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in airtight containers for 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
