A comforting dish featuring tender chicken, a silky lemon cream sauce, and bowtie pasta, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a 1/4 cup of the pasta cooking water if needed.
  2. Season the sliced chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet; cook the chicken until golden and cooked through, then set aside.
  4. Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in chicken broth; bring to a simmer and stir in cream and Parmesan cheese until melted.
  6. Add lemon zest and juice, then simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  7. Return chicken to the pan to meld the flavors for 2 minutes.
  8. Toss in cooked pasta, adjusting seasoning as needed.
  9. Serve garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

Slice the chicken uniformly for even cooking. Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best melting and flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
