An easy and decadent dessert combining cherry pie filling, chocolate cake, and hot fudge sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (21 ounces each) cherry pie filling
  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Pour cherry pie filling into the baking pan and spread evenly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine chocolate cake mix and melted butter; mix until just combined.
  5. Spoon the chocolate mixture over the cherry pie filling.
  6. Warm hot fudge sauce in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth.
  7. Pour the hot fudge sauce over the chocolate cake mix layer.
  8. Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Don’t overmix the batter for a fluffier texture. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
